London Aquatics Centre

Zaha Hadid Architects · London, United Kingdom · 2011

A sweeping roof unifies the swimming and diving pools of this Olympic venue. Zaha Hadid's design translates the movement of water into a continuous architectural surface supported at a small number of points. Temporary spectator wings were removed after the Games, revealing the more compact permanent building.
