Bergisel Ski Jump

Zaha Hadid Architects · Innsbruck, Austria · 2002

Zaha Hadid combined the ski-jump structure, viewing platform and hospitality spaces into a continuous sculptural form. The tower and curving ramp transform sporting infrastructure into a landmark above Innsbruck, connecting the experience of the event with a broader view of the city and mountains. Visiting: Entry to the tower and viewing platform is ticketed; Zaha Hadid's silhouette is visible from much of Innsbruck.
