Newport Street Gallery

John Woodward · London, United Kingdom · 1913

Caruso St John transformed a group of former theatre scenery workshops into an art gallery, adding new buildings at either end. Brick facades and a sawtooth roof maintain continuity with the industrial street. Inside, generous galleries and carefully formed stairs connect the different parts of the ensemble.
