British Library, St Pancras

Colin St John Wilson; MJ Long · London, United Kingdom · 1997

The British Library combines a red-brick exterior, a broad entrance piazza and a carefully organised sequence of reading spaces. Wilson and Long designed a civic institution around the practical demands of a vast collection. The glass enclosure of the King's Library forms an important visual focus inside the building.
