Two small buildings on Omishima present Toyo Ito's work through contrasting architectural ideas: the faceted steel 'Steel Hut' and a reconstructed version of his earlier 'Silver Hut.' The museum is as much an architectural experiment as an archive, with views across the Seto Inland Sea reinforcing the island setting.
