Toyama Glass Art Museum

Kengo Kuma & Associates · Toyama, Japan · 2015

The museum occupies TOYAMA KIRARI, whose fractured exterior planes contrast with an interior atrium lined by layered timber louvers. Kengo Kuma uses the vertical void to connect museum, library and public circulation, producing one of the more convincing recent examples of a mixed civic interior.
