Renzo Piano's tapering glass tower combines offices, housing, a hotel and viewing spaces above London Bridge station. Its separated glass faces give the summit an unfinished, crystalline outline. Completed in 2012, it demonstrates how a transport interchange can anchor a dense vertical mixture of urban uses.
