The High Line Hotel
Charles Coolidge Haight · New York, United States · 1895
Charles Coolidge Haight’s Collegiate Gothic seminary building was adapted into a hotel in 2013. Red brick, pointed arches and a sheltered garden preserve a different layer of Chelsea’s history. The reuse offers a contrast to the glass and metal architecture concentrated along the nearby High Line. Visiting: Exterior viewing is free; hotel rooms and hospitality spaces have guest, booking or purchase conditions. Access to the seminary’s grounds is separate.
