The High Line Building

Morris Adjmi Architects · New York, United States · 2011

Morris Adjmi retained a former meatpacking building and placed a glass office tower above it. The High Line passes through the historic base, making the relationship between old railway infrastructure and contemporary development unusually direct. A recessed glazed level separates the masonry base from the addition. Visiting: Exterior viewing from public streets and the High Line is free. This is a privately used building; interior access requires permission, a hotel reservation or a relevant business visit.
