Renzo Piano joined the national library and opera with a large landscaped park and an elevated roof canopy. The sloping ground creates a gradual approach to the cultural buildings, giving the complex both an institutional role and a substantial area of public outdoor space. Visiting: Public spaces and the park are freely accessible; performances and special programs have separate booking or ticket conditions.
