Sixty Dome Mosque
Bengal Sultanate workshops under Khan Jahan Ali · Bagerhat, Bangladesh · 1459
The Sixty Dome Mosque organizes a large prayer space through a dense rhythm of columns and small domes. Its heavy brick enclosure and corner towers give the exterior a compact, fortified character. The building is a major example of the distinctive architectural tradition developed in the wet landscape of historic Bagerhat. Visiting: Entry is ticketed for the mosque and site museum.
