Shoji Ueda Museum of Photography

Shin Takamatsu · Hoki, Japan · 1995

Shin Takamatsu uses dark concrete walls, water courts and narrow framed openings to construct a sequence of photographic views toward Mount Daisen. The museum is unusually literal in its relationship to photography: landscape appears as a controlled image repeatedly cropped by the architecture.
