Scottish Parliament Building

EMBT; Enric Miralles; Benedetta Tagliabue; RMJM · Edinburgh, United Kingdom · 2004

The Scottish Parliament is arranged as a collection of interconnected buildings between Edinburgh's Old Town and Holyrood's landscape. Miralles and Tagliabue use complex roof forms, timber, stone and expressive details to suggest an institution rooted in its setting. The debating chamber and Garden Lobby give the ensemble strong internal focal points.
