Rietveld Schröder House
Gerrit Rietveld, in collaboration with Truus Schröder-Schräder · Utrecht, Netherlands · 1924
Gerrit Rietveld developed this house in close collaboration with Truus Schröder-Schräder. Planes, projecting elements and primary-color accents break down the conventional box, while movable internal partitions allow the upper floor to shift between an open living space and smaller rooms. Visiting: Visits are by ticketed guided tour; the exterior can be seen from Prins Hendriklaan.
