Palazzo dei Congressi

Adalberto Libera · Rome, Italy · 1953

Adalberto Libera balances a severe rectilinear exterior with a monumental central cubic hall capped by a shallow cross-vault. Conceived for E42 before construction was interrupted by the war, the building is a particularly refined counterpoint to the heavier monumental language elsewhere in EUR.
