Nagoya City Art Museum

Kisho Kurokawa · Nagoya, Japan · 1988

Kisho Kurokawa layers abstract geometric forms, exposed structure and shaded transitional spaces within Shirakawa Park. The museum illustrates his idea of symbiosis: modern materials and postmodern fragments are combined with spatial references to traditional gates and engawa-like thresholds.
