Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje

Wacław Kłyszewski; Jerzy Mokrzyński; Eugeniusz Wierzbicki · Skopje, North Macedonia · 1970

The Warsaw-based design team placed the museum above Skopje as part of the city’s reconstruction after the 1963 earthquake. The building’s modernist volumes and open setting connect the display of contemporary art with a broader history of international rebuilding and cultural exchange. Visiting: The building and its views over the city from Kale hill can be seen freely.
