Museum aan de Stroom
Neutelings Riedijk Architects · Antwerp, Belgium · 2011
Neutelings Riedijk stacked museum volumes around an ascending public route, using red sandstone and rippling glass. The sequence of spaces gradually opens views across Antwerp, connecting the collection with the history and physical landscape of the city’s harbor district. Visiting: Exhibitions are ticketed, but the spiralling public boulevard and the rooftop panorama over Antwerp are free.
