Jean-Émile Resplandy designed a compact theatre with an expressive decorative facade on Tunis’s main civic avenue. Its urban frontage and performance spaces connect the building with the development of the city’s modern cultural institutions at the beginning of the twentieth century. Visiting: The Art Nouveau facade faces Avenue Habib Bourguiba; the interior opens for performances.
