Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
I. M. Pei & Partners · Dallas, United States · 1989
The Meyerson Symphony Center combines a carefully proportioned concert hall with an expansive public foyer. I. M. Pei's 1989 design makes the distinction between the acoustically controlled performance room and the more open circulation around it especially clear. Curved and rectilinear forms organize the building's relationship with the Dallas Arts District. The foyer provides changing views through glazing and between levels, while the hall relies on a more focused material and spatial order shaped by musical performance. Visiting: Interior architectural visits and concerts follow the venue's booking arrangements. Check tour availability.
