Yahya Merchant's design uses a large dome and deep arched openings to balance monumental scale with visual restraint. The surrounding approaches and terraces reinforce the tomb's role as a major national place of remembrance. Visiting: Entry to the mausoleum and its surrounding park is free; the changing of the guard ceremony takes place at set times.
