López Serrano Building

Ricardo Mira · Havana, Cuba · 1932

Ricardo Mira used a stepped tower and vertically emphasized facade to give the apartment building a distinctive Art Deco profile. The composition relates closely to the ambitions of modern high-rise living in Havana before the development of the city’s later residential slabs. Visiting: Residential; the Art Deco tower can be seen from Calle 13 in Vedado.
