Liège-Guillemins Station

Santiago Calatrava · Liège, Belgium · 2009

Santiago Calatrava covered the station with a sweeping structure of steel and glass. The broad roof unifies platforms and passenger circulation, allowing the transport interchange to act as a large public interior and a visible link between the railway and the city. Visiting: A working station, so Calatrava's vaulted canopy and platforms are free to walk through. The best overall view is from the square at the front of the station.
