The Liberation War Museum's purpose-built home gives Bangladesh's history a substantial contemporary setting. Large masonry and concrete surfaces frame exhibition spaces, courts and circulation. The building's measured sequence of enclosed and open areas allows the museum programme to move between historical interpretation, collective remembrance and spaces for gathering.
