LEGO House

Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) · Billund, Denmark · 2017

LEGO House is a cultural and experience center in Billund, the hometown of LEGO. BIG translated the logic of the toy brick into architecture by stacking block-like volumes around a public square, creating terraces, play zones, exhibition areas, and an accessible roofscape. The building works both as an attraction and as a civic space: visitors can explore interior experience zones, while the stepped exterior creates an urban playground open to the city. Its bright colors and modular composition make the concept immediately legible without becoming simplistic. LEGO House is a strong ArchiAtlas entry because it connects brand identity, public space, family experience, and architectural form in a highly direct way.
