Lalbagh Fort

Lalbagh Fort preserves an unfinished Mughal complex within present-day Dhaka. A mosque, tomb, audience-related spaces and gardens remain within the fortified enclosure. The site is valuable for reading a planned architectural ensemble whose surviving parts reveal both its imperial ambitions and the interruptions in its construction history. Visiting: Entry is ticketed; the site is closed on Sundays.
