Jawahar Kala Kendra translates the nine-square ordering of Jaipur into a contemporary arts centre. Charles Correa combined enclosed galleries, courtyards and performance spaces within a system of strongly defined walls. Changes of light, colour and enclosure make movement through the complex an architectural experience alongside its programme of exhibitions and cultural activity. Visiting: General public areas have no standard admission charge; special exhibitions, performances and booking requirements can differ.
