James Ingo Freed’s convention center uses a large exposed space frame and reflective glass to span its exhibition halls. Later renovation and expansion added environmental improvements and new event space. Its long frontage defines the urban edge just beyond the High Line’s West 34th Street terminus. Visiting: Access is tied to ticketed events; the glass exterior along the Hudson can be seen freely. View the exterior from public streets.
