Imperial War Museum North

Studio Libeskind · Trafford, United Kingdom · 2002

Libeskind's museum is composed as intersecting fragments representing earth, air and water. Curved surfaces and an intentionally disorienting interior support the interpretation of conflict and its effects. Located opposite Salford Quays, it uses architecture as part of the exhibition narrative rather than simply as a neutral container.
