ICONSIAM

ICONSIAM is a large riverfront mixed-use complex that combines retail, cultural spaces, residences and public waterfront access. Its architecture is conceived as a collection of highly differentiated environments rather than a single neutral mall: a glass-and-metal exterior faces the Chao Phraya, while interior zones reinterpret markets, craft patterns and regional landscapes. The riverside promenade and performance fountain extend the project into the public realm and connect it to ferry transit. High-rise residential towers form the skyline backdrop. The complex is significant as an example of contemporary Bangkok megaproject urbanism, where infrastructure, tourism, consumption and spectacle are assembled into a new destination on the Thonburi bank.
