IAC Building
Gehry Partners · New York, United States · 2007
Frank Gehry’s first completed building in New York uses a billowing glass envelope whose white ceramic frit gives it a luminous, sail-like appearance. The stacked volumes and changing opacity distinguish the headquarters from the rectangular brick warehouses and glass towers around it. Visiting: Exterior viewing from public streets and the High Line is free. This is a privately used building; interior access requires permission, a hotel reservation or a relevant business visit.
