Victor Horta organized this townhouse around an open stair and interior light. Curving metalwork, mosaic patterns and structural elements form a continuous decorative language, showing how Art Nouveau could reshape the plan and experience of an urban house. Visiting: A private house on rue Paul-Émile Janson, off Avenue Louise. The facade is free to see; the interior opens only on occasional guided tours, for example by ARAU.
