Horta Museum

Victor Horta · Brussels, Belgium · 1901

Horta’s former house and studio preserve an unusually complete relationship between work, domestic life and architectural detail. The stairwell and top lighting connect rooms vertically, while fittings, surfaces and metalwork carry the Art Nouveau design into the smallest parts of the interior. Visiting: Entry is ticketed; the Art Nouveau facades along Rue Américaine can be seen freely.
