Ginza Itoya Main Store is a compact vertical retail building dedicated to stationery, paper, design tools and craft culture. Although quieter than Ginza’s luxury façades, it is highly relevant architecturally because it shows another side of the district: precise, object-oriented retail organized as a multi-floor experience. The building uses a narrow frontage and clear vertical circulation to turn a specialized shop into a destination. For architects, designers and students, Itoya is especially useful because its program connects directly to drawing, making, typography and material culture. As part of an ArchiAtlas Ginza route, it adds an accessible everyday landmark that balances the more spectacular brand buildings with a design-focused commercial institution.
