Pierre Jeanneret's Gandhi Bhawan is a compact modern building set within a reflecting pool on the Panjab University campus. Its pale, angular volumes form a sculptural composition whose effect changes with movement around the water. The building provides an intimate counterpart to the much larger governmental projects elsewhere in Chandigarh. Visiting: Working educational campus. Exterior viewing does not grant access to classrooms or residences; seek permission before entering controlled areas.
