Dominion Office Building

Zaha Hadid Architects · Moscow, Russia · 2015

The Dominion Office Building brings Zaha Hadid Architects’ fluid formal language into a relatively compact workplace. White horizontal floor bands are displaced and connected by a central atrium where staircases cross between levels as sculptural bridges. The exterior reads as a stack of offset plates, while the interior uses circulation to encourage visual interaction between offices. Completed in 2015 in southeast Moscow, the project is one of Hadid’s few completed buildings in Russia and an important example of a speculative office building using dramatic circulation as its central architectural idea.
