Moretti's fencing academy at the Foro Italico pairs smooth white volumes with exceptionally controlled internal sequences, ramps and indirect light. The building's apparently pure rationalist geometry becomes much more complex at close range, particularly where circulation and structure are compressed into narrow joints between masses.
