Coop Himmelb(l)au · Busan, South Korea · 2011
Busan Cinema Center combines cinema, performance and public gathering beneath a dramatically projecting roof. Coop Himmelb(l)au uses expressive geometry and a strong relationship between sheltered exterior space and enclosed programme. The building makes a cultural event's movement and shared atmosphere part of its architectural identity.
