Bombay High Court
James A. Fuller · Mumbai, India · 1878
The Bombay High Court is a prominent Gothic Revival building along the edge of Oval Maidan. Its dark stone walls, pointed arches and tall central composition give the working court a powerful civic presence. The open ground opposite allows the long façade to be read as part of Mumbai's wider historic architectural ensemble. Visiting: A working court. The Gothic facade faces the Oval Maidan, best seen together with the Rajabai Clock Tower and University buildings.
