Bara Imambara is organized around an enormous vaulted assembly hall and a sequence of related religious spaces. Its masonry construction and intricate upper circulation make the complex a major achievement of Awadhi architecture. Courts, gateways and the adjacent mosque extend the experience beyond the famous central chamber. Visiting: Entry is ticketed and includes the Bhul Bhulaiya maze; the Rumi Darwaza gateway nearby can be seen freely.
