Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone

Renzo Piano Building Workshop · Rome, Italy · 2002

Renzo Piano arranges three beetle-like concert halls around an open-air cavea, creating a cultural campus rather than a single object building. The lead-clad volumes, exposed timber interiors and archaeological remains found during construction make the complex one of Rome's strongest contemporary public spaces.
