Aga Khan Palace
Architect not documented · Pune, India · 1892
The Aga Khan Palace combines broad verandahs, formal rooms and landscaped grounds within a substantial late nineteenth-century residence. Its later association with the imprisonment of Mahatma Gandhi gives the architecture an additional historical role. The building now brings together the experience of a palace, a memorial and a public cultural site. Visiting: Entry is ticketed; the palace grounds and the Gandhi memorial are part of the visit.
