Peter Behrens gave an industrial production hall the scale and compositional clarity of a civic monument. Tall glazed side walls reveal the rhythm of the steel structure, while the powerful end elevation makes the factory’s large interior span legible from the street. Visiting: Still an industrial site (Siemens Energy). Peter Behrens' glass and steel hall is best seen from the corner of Huttenstrasse and Berlichingenstrasse.
