520 West 28th Street
Zaha Hadid Architects; Ismael Leyva Architects · New York, United States · 2017
Zaha Hadid Architects’ residential building places flowing metal bands between large panes of glass. The interlocking facade follows the building’s split levels and emphasizes movement along the High Line. Its curved corners and sculptural envelope make it one of the corridor’s most distinctive architectural landmarks. Visiting: Exterior viewing from public streets and the High Line is free. This is a privately used residential building; apartments and amenities are not open for general visits.
