200 Eleventh Avenue
Selldorf Architects · New York, United States · 2010
Selldorf Architects combined a terra-cotta base with a sculpted stainless-steel tower. Duplex apartments and a car elevator shaped the internal organization, while the masonry plinth relates to Chelsea’s warehouses. The building is a short westward detour from the High Line at West 24th Street. Visiting: Exterior viewing from public streets and the High Line is free. This is a privately used residential building; apartments and amenities are not open for general visits.
